Couple and family relationships create a multi-layered field of interaction that extends beyond individual experiences. The problems that arise within relationships can rarely be reduced to a single person or a single event. Communication styles, roles, expectations, and past experiences all interact and operate together. Couple and family counseling services aim to address this complex structure within a holistic framework.
In our approach, rather than focusing on the question of “who is right and who is wrong,” we focus on understanding how the relationship functions. The interactions between couples and family members often continue within repeating cycles that occur without conscious awareness. The counseling process creates space for these cycles to become visible and for each individual to more clearly recognize their own position within the system.
Conflicts in couple relationships, communication breakdowns, or emotional distance may be connected not only to the current dynamics of the relationship, but also to each individual’s past experiences and relational patterns. Similarly, family-related issues are often shaped by intergenerationally transmitted roles, expectations, and emotional burdens. For this reason, the original counseling process implemented in our clinic does not isolate individuals, but instead considers the system as a whole.
Couple and family counseling provides a space for the regulation of emotional burdens, the establishment of healthy boundaries, and the development of more functional communication pathways. Rather than aiming to “fix” the relationship or force a specific outcome, this process focuses on enabling individuals to express their own experiences more openly and with greater awareness.
